Meet the Principal: Madison James

I am now in my fourth year at Aquilla ISD and my eleventh year in education. I began my journey here as the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher and had the chance to explore several different roles within Special Education. Last December, I was blessed with the opportunity to step into the interim elementary principal role, and in May, I was officially offered the position as principal of Aquilla ISD. 

I have truly enjoyed the many roles, learning experiences, and relationships I’ve gained during my time here. This year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as both the Elementary and Junior High prinicipal. I have loved getting to work with a different age group while still having all the fun and joy that comes with being around my elementary students. 

My kids and my husband are both proud Aquilla Cougars, and that is a big part of why I am so deeply committed to the growth and learning happening in our district. I am excited to continue serving Aquilla ISD in this administrative role and look forward to many more years of supporting our students, staff, and community.
